Hi Everyone! We’re all excited about the ConClave 35 Art Show, October 8-10, 2010 at the Crown Plaza in Romulus, Michigan. We’re expecting the usual 700 or so fans and we’ll have lots of your gorgeous artwork with which to tempt them. Our artists bring us many types of 2D and 3D art. Besides your stunning original paintings and prints, we have had quilts, t- shirts, mugs, magnets, jewelry, cartoons, computer art, ceramic creatures, pottery, fuzzy animals as well as amazing hand-made model ships and planes etc. This year we’ll even have more room in which to display your work. Our Artist Guest of Honor is Peri Charlifu, who will be demonstrating his awesome skills with clay while you watch. He’s a master potter who teaches all levels of pottery and sculpture. And he’s got a delightful sense of humor as well. Come see him create treasures while you watch. We cheerfully accept mail-in artwork. We sell space by the piece, not by the panel or table. The fees are $.50 per piece for each piece with a minimum bid under $100.00, and $1.00 per piece with a minimum bid over $100.00 or NFS. Mail-in artists must include return postage with the artwork. The art mail-in address is: ConClave Art Show C/O T. Barber 2737 Colony Rd. Ann Arbor, MI 48104 All mailed-in art must reach us by October 1, 2010. If it arrives later, we will make every effort to make sure that your art gets to the show, but we cannot make any guarantees. This is just a general overview; a detailed list of the rules is available on our website conclavesf.org Anyone interested in doing panels or demos please notify our programming department. They can be reached at programming@conclavesf.org. If you are chosen to do three or more panels you will receive free admission to ConClave. Please review the Art Show Rules. If you are interested in showing your work at ConClave this year, you can find forms on our website or, you can send a self-addressed business-size envelope with two stamps on it to T. Barber ( address above ) and a note telling me about how many pieces you wish to enter, and we will send you the paperwork you need to enter the show. Thank you for your interest in ConClave. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Elizabeth A Huffman |
